Complaining never solves anything. Sometimes, I find myself falling into that trap. I don't want that to be a part of my life. If you situation is not making you happy, then change it! I have done a lot of evolving over the past 2 years and I am getting extremely close to my first step towards enlightenment. Let's go on this journey together.

Alcohol, again. I've never had a drop of alcohol in my life. A little extreme, maybe. It's not for me, but I don't judge people that drink (used to, not anymore). That being said, I know there are better ways to escape from whatever you're feeling at that time. Focus on getting better and improving your life permanently, instead of using something like alcohol to deal with it temporarily.

I constantly audit how happy and fulfilled I am in my life. Whether it's my career, family, friends, health, etc, I'm always thinking about how I can make things better and more enjoyable. Bottom line: I know a lot of people that are not happy with their lives and have never done anything to better their scenario. I will not let that happen to me. Don't let it happen to you, either. Move towards what you want to do and what fulfills you.

I witnessed some things that made me extremely sad. There are many good people in our world on paths to lives filled with depression and addiction.  Specifically, I'm talking about alcohol abuse. I want to do my best to help those in need of it, but I need to figure out how. It would be a great honor to positively affect even 1 person. So, I'm going to do my best to make that happen.

My goal is to try to make a positive impact on people's lives. The tough part will always be maintaining the relationships that you have as you grow. At the end of the day, you have to be the captain of your own ship. Learn and gain experience from others as much as possible, but do not let anything or anybody tell you that you can't follow your passion and build out your dream. Just go do it.

You can't spread yourself too thin or cut corners. Building a business is no easy task. There are so many things to think about as you form the foundation and begin to scale. There's no secret formula, just a lot of hard work.

This episode topic was inspired by this video by Alex Becker. It's so important to love and get fulfillment from what you do every day. One of the easiest ways to achieve happiness is to cut out the things that don't bring you joy. Eliminating the distractions in your day-to-day life is the first step.

You have to take a focused approach to life. Speed is absolutely important, especially in a business setting. However, if tasks are done too fast or there is too much going on at one time, it can collapse a whole system. There has to be a process in place that will allow your team to complete projects quickly, but carefully. This stems down from the leader of any team. A focused attack on problems without deviating is the ideal way to build.

I saw the movie "A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood" and it got me thinking. Growing up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mr. Rogers was pretty close to home and the show had a good deal of relatability.  The documentary of Fred Rogers' life, as well as the Hollywood counterpart featuring Tom Hanks, illustrated to me how caring and compassionate of a man Fred truly was. He impacted not only children but adults alike. When I see someone else put that much good into the world, I genuinely appreciate and admire it. It's a service to our society that I wish to take part in as well.

Over the past couple of years, I have started to pay more attention to my surroundings and my normal environment. During that time, I have become much more ambitious in pursuing my goals, personally and professionally. In that same time, I have witnessed the opposite happen to people close to me, specifically my parents. I feel that it's a very normal thing to slow down as you get older, but it hurts me to see it. I want to do everything I can to help people avoid the loss of motivation. One thing is for sure: I will not let it happen to me. Stay Fueled By Progress.

Are you doing things that make you happy and bring you fulfillment? Or are you just going through the motions? I strongly encourage everyone I meet to adopt this mindset and don't fall into the trap of complacency. There will be obstacles as you try to find what you really want to do, but that's not a good enough reason to ignore it. No matter what today was like, actively move towards an even better tomorrow.

I watched Elon Musk and the Tesla team unveil the Cybertruck last night and wanted to give my thoughts on the event, but more so the innovation giant on the whole. The company is revolutionizing the transportation and energy industries right in front of our eyes. The critics make me laugh. What are they afraid of? Don't be scared of change. 

I had a great conversation with a colleague in the mortgage industry and wanted to reflect on what we talked about. We spoke a lot about finance, marketing, and building strong relationships. We agreed that the best way to establish a legendary brand is to root it in genuineness and provide value up-front without expecting anything in return. If there ever was a secret to building something great, that's it.

I strive every day to deepen my level of thinking, expand my knowledge base, and extend my comfort zone. There is so much information available online today. Go out and find what you're looking for! As it relates to business, I always try to steer my clients in the right direction, in web development or even broader. Today, I was asked, "Are you scared about being on your own?" The answer: It's definitely scary, but not as scary as thinking about how much I will regret not trying it later in life.

Over the past 2 years, I have acquired a ton of knowledge in the personal finance niche. I have implemented the tips and tricks into my own life, but now, I want to share what I know with others. I am working on a personal finance crash course that I will be publishing and giving away for FREE. I know that the simple steps I am putting together contain a lot of value. I'm always doing something. For the last 10+ years, I haven't had many days off. Weekdays have been spent at school or a full-time job and my weekends have been spent at my Grandma's diner. There are many pros and cons to this lifestyle, but overall I think it has benefitted me. I'm at a point in my life, however, where change is looming and will ultimately be for the better.

Diet and nutrition have been a part of a roller coaster ride for me throughout my life. I was an overweight kid in grade school and I have since transitioned into a much more average build in my 20s. I have some thoughts and goals that I like to share with people based on my journey thus far. Overall, it's important to understand what you're looking to achieve in the kitchen and in the gym. Make it a lifestyle, not just something you do to get ready for the beach.

If you're a business owner looking to expand your team, be conscientious about how you hire new people and scale your business. While speed is important in the micro, it can hurt you on a macro level if you don't have the right mindset. Get to know and truly care about potential new hires. Make sure they will jive with your company's culture but don't jam them into a position that doesn't work for them. The addition of a new employee should be beneficial to both sides. Ultimately, the goal is to hire slow and fire fast. If you do make a mistake, rectify it as soon as possible. Don't let it affect the rest of your team.

How much of a handle do you have on your personal finances right now? If the answer is very little, I implore you to devote even the smallest amount of effort towards it.
